Really just inane introspection

Steph said something the other day that initially caused SAAK some consternation… "you're living the life of a retiree". This was obviously meant to be read with an eye to its malicious intent (SAAK kids)… but on reflection, there may well be a great deal of truth.

SAAK did have a childhood, but it seems to have come to a grinding hold before the memory function kicked in. SAAK has no vivid nor sequential memories of existence pre 16, little bits and pieces hither and thither, but...

From that age to recently all focus has been on work… no relationships, friends that could be counted on one hand .. with fingers to spare.. and a "things will just fall into place attitude".

Now he is old, lonely and broke, where the absolute highlights are sleep and golf, it all seems to fit…

Someone grab SAAK’s slippers and pipe for him, he’s a bit to tired to get up… dag nab it.

sweetheart it was indeed not with malice that i said that. It seems an incredible waste of good health to be the way you are.

I also reminded you that you aren't dead yet. You have much to give sweet man. Get out there and give it.

OK, I don't now you as well as the ladies above do, but, for what it's worth:

Get naked and lie on the bathroom floor.

This won't make sense until you try it.

I am going to set you three tasks RutBoy.

1) Find a hat. Style is up to you, Fedora, Beret, Deerstalker, Bonnet. Wear it for a week. Boldly. With confidence. Feign confidence if necessary.

2) Develop a golf/drinking game.It should involve a hip flask and perhaps something to do with birds. Find someone to test it with you. Preferably wearing Kilts. Refine it. Report back.

3) Go to the travel agent. Book a trip to somewhere interesting.
Do it.
Do it.
DO IT!!!!

I expect a report.
I will be checking in.
J.P.
